Good evening everybody!
Snow is falling steadily across much of the region at the moment. This will continue through much of the night, but most of the precipitation should cease before the sun rises on Monday morning. In terms of the morning commute, secondary roads will be especially messy. Plan on adding some extra time as you head into work tomorrow morning. As for schools, I can definitely see many locations either closing or implementing delays south of the Mass. Pike. It is much harder to say for areas north of the Mass. Pike as amounts will be lighter and the snow will end before schools start.
Tuesday morning will be very cold with lows in the single digits for many. More snow arrives late in the day. Overnight, temperatures will gradually warm up and the snow will change to a brief period of sleet/freezing rain or drizzle, followed by occasional plain rain showers during the morning.
The sun may break out Wednesday afternoon, and temperatures will rise into the 40s for many. Perhaps a summer feel to the air (kidding)?
Just like that, temps plummet for Thursday and Friday. Still unclear but either snow showers or a period of snow is possible Thursday.
Temperatures will rebound a bit for the weekend as we inch closer to what is "average" for this time of year.
I'm watching a potential storm system for next Monday, but it's too far out for any certainty whatsoever.
